GL is that rare combination of creative talent that's capable of producing truly great work by translating consumer insights and strategies into fresh, breakthrough creative ideas AND create the same quality of work when (as is too often the case) the insights are stale or completely lacking and strategy has taken a backseat to "let the creatives figure it out". And on top of it all, he's just generally a great guy and a pleasure to work with.
Nate Swenberg, EVP, Global Communications Planning Leader, at BBDO
Perfectionists and purists get a bad rap in advertising these days, but we should have more of them in our agencies. People who will always put more thought, time and dedication to ensure their output is the best are rare and GL is one of them. He is both a thinker and a doer, and is willing to fight for what is right and fair. These qualities, added to his impeccable aesthetics and his keen eye for all things beautiful make him a difficult person to replicate and an absolute pleasure to work with.
Christine Hasbun, Americas Planning Director at Saatchi & Saatchi
GL is bright and talented-- a thoughtful problem-solver who always has a creative idea to make work better. In the years that I have known him, on many different projects, I have always found him to be collaborative and professional too. GL is ambitious and hardworking, both of which have made him quite successful at what he does. I find GL a pleasure to work with and I'm happy to endorse him.

A few words about GL Sears. First, the 'G' is for Gradwell, which you probably already know. The 'L' is for Longfellowhorn, which is a whole ridiculous story in itself. He loves to tell it, all you have to do is ask. GL and I worked together at Arnold in New York. And he's an easy dude to work with. He brings a lot of good thinking to the process. He works hard at it, he takes the process seriously, he's not content to just settle on the first good idea he comes up with. He has great creative instincts, and when he decides on a direction that works strategically and creatively, he defends it passionately. And GL's meticulous during the production process. From pre-pro straight through to the final mix. To GL, no detail is too small to demand careful attention. Which is, in my mind, exactly what you want when it comes to creative leadership. To be able to hand an assignment off and know that it's going to be handled carefully and professionally down to the last pixel. So put ol' Longfellowhorn on your squad. You'll be glad you did.

GL is an amazing talent. He is incredibly smart, a fantastic designer and has blossomed into a strong leader. He has a curiousity and desire to learn & grow that I love. I wish every creative person (or agency person for that matter) had his passion. He has been a real force for building the culture of Arnold and we will miss him tremendously.
Lynn Power, Managing Director JWT NY, Board Member of WAM Theatre
A perfectionist creative developer, who understands premium codes and beauty well. Highly effective at visualising a bigger idea as well as bringing to life the story to make the creative a reality - all the way through to in-market where we have been able to see the true results of such exceptional work. A great loss to us, but GL will go on to deliver great things, and will be an asset I'm sure to any team or brand he works with in the future.
Emily Turner, Senior Brand Manager, Global Brand Development at Unilever
GL is invaluable to Arnold NYC’s creative success. He’s a digital native – at ease coming up with great creative ideas in any medium. In addition, his presentation skills are top notch and he brings a maturity beyond his years. When I’m choosing sides for my “Dream Agency”, GL’s one of the first people I pick for my Creative team.
